Find out where the nearest St Johns Amublance HQ is and then very quietly, and at night, break in and steal their 'Respiratory Problems Teaching Torso' (as it's known in the biz).

Bada-bing, one shiny torso to stab and cut up to your heart's delight.

    Andy

P.s. I have but one word for you, STORY.

Depending on your budget, there are lots of options. If you have a lot of cash, hire a pro shop to make the prop.

If you have some money, but not a lot, you can try looking at places that supply stuff like this (see "John Doe" towards the bottom). Halloween is around the corner, so the haunted house/hayride suppliers are going to start producing their new items. Tis the season...

The alternative is to build one yourself. A few years ago, we needed a bunch of corpses for a scene, so we made them ourselves. The hands were props from the Nighmare Factory, the legs and arms were filled out with soda bottles, and the torsos and neck stumps were chicken wire coated with paper mache (<-- how the f*ck do you spell that?!). If you build the thing yourself, incorporate a bowl into the torso to hold all the gooey bits.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thanks, Justin! I was trying to figure out the correct spelling and my spell checker kept suggesting a 'paper machete'. I thought to myself, "That can't be right... who on earth would ever want a PAPER machete. Its absurd!", but then I had an idea for a short story called 'Paper Machete' and till I finished making some notes about that, I completely forgot about the fact that I didn't know how to spell papier-m?ch?.

    Thanks again.
